1682 - Creation of Llanelly Church

1802 - Establishment of foundry and engineering works by Waddle in New
Dock.
1805 - Llanelly's copper works established by Daniel and Co.

1972 - 31st October. The day that the pubs ran dry! Touring All Blacks
defeated 9-3 by Llanelli RFC. A crowd of 26,000 attends Stradey Park.
Pubs throughout Llanelly ran dry after fans celebrated. Max Boyce has
even wrote a song about this day!
